Here’s another reason to leave this nation, “land of the fee and home of the slave” with its medical tyranny and complete lack of medical freedom and choice of treatment. The FDA is clamping down on the CBD or cannabidoil industry.
Without significant THC content, the psychotropic aspect of marijuana, cannabidoil is merely another hemp product. Like hemp seeds and hemp clothing, CBD without THC can be sold to needy families almost anywhere with outstanding results for neurologically challenged children that mainstream medicine could not handle.
As usual, the FDA stepped in lightly at first with warning letters to CBD producers to avoid even implying medicinal effects of CBD in their advertising or product labeling. This situation is nothing unusual for supplement manufacturers and even food producers who have been kicked around by the Medical Mafia’s Gestapo called the FDA.
The Details Reveal the Devil in the FDA
From Nutritional Outlook: “On February 4, FDA sent warning letters to eight companies marketing CBD foods and dietary supplements, partially on the basis of impermissible medical claims used in marketing materials. These include suggestions that CBD may be used to reduce symptoms of schizophrenia, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, cancer, multiple sclerosis, and more.”
The CBD producers could simply carry on with what all supplement companies have to do by withholding curative potentials. But the FDA has upped the ante considerably.
It has used a bureaucratic loophole to effectively shut down CBD production and use by families in need of helping their neurologically impacted children, often from vaccinations, to reduce the constant occurring seizures.
There have been many anecdotal successes over the past few years with CBD oils or tinctures that have dramatically helped families whose children were terribly afflicted with seizures and autism spectrum disorders.
These incidents have also spurred further research into cannabidiol’s efficacy for handling what Big Pharma could not come close to handling.
But the FDA is up to the task of protecting Big Pharma’s medicinal drug monopoly by using a loophole in their complex, obfuscating lengthy legalese.
From the FDA 2016 document:
… FDA has concluded that cannabidiol products are excluded from the dietary supplement definition under section 201(ff)(3)(B)(ii) of the FD&C Act. Under that provision, if a substance (such as cannabidiol) has been authorized for investigation as a new drug for which substantial clinical investigations have been instituted and for which the existence of such investigations has been made public, then products containing that substance are outside the definition of a dietary supplement.
Get it? It’s saying you can’t sell CBD as a medical remedy or as a general supplement. So what can it be sold as? Looks like CBD is forced to go underground soon if it isn’t handled by concerned supplement and cannabis groups.
This leaves the CBD field wide open for only Big Pharma. Later in the same FDA document:
“The existence of substantial clinical investigations regarding cannabidiol has been made public. For example, two such substantial clinical investigations include GW Pharmaceuticals’ investigations regarding Sativex and Epidiolex.”
Well, those items were registered for phase II and III drug trial in 26 November 2007. Seems that is probably before CBD was being sold as a legal cannabis solution. But how does their product compare to what’s known as CBD today?
GW Pharmaceutical’s potions are around half CBD and half THC and and were designed for cancer patients, not to relieve children’s multiple daily seizures without THC’s psychotropic side effects. Current CBD products contain virtually no THC. This is not the same product, period.
The FDA also argues that there’s still not enough research on the medical benefits of CBD. Of course, they don’t want to know either. Instead they’ll let a pharmaceutical company contrive CBD synthetically. It’s simple, Big Pharma’s main protector is the FDA, which has Big Pharma as its main client. The FDA is not concerned about “your health” as it claims in their logo.
And the FDA has the power to do what it pleases with your tax dollars to protect corporate entities that are poisoning you. The media, which relies on considerable revenue from pharmaceutical advertising is on board with them all as well.
