You probably thought cigarettes were the most dangerous legal substance on the market, right? I’m afraid something else shares this dubious standing.
Most American families may be exposed to a deadly and addictive compound through their unhealthy diets and, worst of all, Big Food is desperately trying to hide how truly dangerous this ingredient is.
No, it’s not some horrifying drug or antibiotic. Well, as far as I know, there’s no evidence of that kind of particular foul play.
Most of us know that we need to reduce our sugar intake to help improve our family’s health. This is a laudable choice worth celebrating.
Your immediate reaction is probably to simply cut down your most visible source of sugar. Most of us may even start drinking their coffee black.
Cutting down the obvious sources of sugar in your diet is simply not enough. Why? Because Big Food has already injected some form of sugars into different food products in your diet.
Additionally, you may need to start viewing your sugar intake as something much more serious.
A DISTURBING REVELATION
A recent study conducted by the University of California concluded that people should not only avoid processed sugar, they should begin seeing the sugar consumption with the same care as their alcohol or nicotine consumption.
In other words, this study has basically concluded that sugar consumption could be as addictive and dangerous as cigarettes.
When you come to think of it, it’s not that surprising. Think about it: cigarettes, despite clear scientific evidence linking them to lung cancer, are still being purchased with increasingly regularity worldwide.
Sugar, despite multiple studies linking it to cancer, diabetes, and cancer, is still being consumed in incredible amounts by most people in America.
THE EERIE SIMILARITIES
Let’s start with the biggest issue: the development of addictive behavior. One study on lab mice showed that after being exposed to a small and regular dose of sugar they developed addictive personalities and behavior.
The scariest part: when they were cut off from their sugar dose, these mice actually showed symptoms of withdrawal.
Both sugar and tobacco have been linked as potential carcinogens and long-term side effects that can drastically destroy your overall quality of life.
NOT ALL SUGAR ALTERNATIVES ARE CREATED EQUAL
First, if you’re simply replacing sugar, you need to choose the perfect replacement. Despite the millions of dollars spent in advertising aspartame as the perfect sugar alternative, it actually could be more dangerous.
It’s so dangerous that most animals avoid as if it were poison. Why? Because it’s actually loaded with carcinogenic compounds that could cause irreparable damage to your body in the long run.
If your sweet tooth simply won’t go away, stick to using raw organic honey or, if you can’t simply abandon sugar, try organic brown sugar.
It’s incredibly important that you begin to not underestimate how dangerous sugar can be for your family’s health. It’s ok to indulge in some sugary treats on certain occasions.
However, it should never be part of your day-to-day diet.
