We usually tend to be very health conscious with a detox diet and try keeping our body free of toxins. However, we yet miss paying attention to the simple yet toxic substances we used in our day-to-day life. The average woman puts 515 different chemicals on her body each day. From your face wash, shampoo, conditioner to your kajal and eye-liner, a detailed look at the ingredients are sure to surprise you! You are literally smearing chemicals all over your skin and hair.

Avoid Toxic products:
Shampoo: Chemicals you need to worry about are Sodium lauryl sulphate, Tetrasodium and Propylene Gylcol to name a few. These chemicals can cause eye irritation and eye damage.

Hairspray: Avoid Octinoxate, Isophthalates. They can cause allergies, eye irritation, hormone disruption and linked to changes in cell structure.

Lipsticks: Some products contain Polymenthyl metacrylate. The side effects are linked to cancer and allergies.

Foundation: The chemical you need to worry about is polymethyl metacrylate. This can disrupt the immune system, is linked to cancer, and can cause allergies.

Deodorant: May contain Isopropyl Myristate, ‘Parfam’. This can cause headaches, dizziness, irritation and respiratory problems.

Body Lotion: Some products may contain methylparaben, propylparaben, polyethylene glycolwhich may also be found in oven cleaners. They can cause rashes, irritations and hormonal disruption.

Instead, look for products that contain natural and organic ingredients. It’s your body and you deserve to be healthy, happy, and look great!
